Dr. Harlow Hollis
With 30 years of experience, Victoria plastic surgeon Dr. Harlow Hollis has a comprehensive understanding of the field of cosmetic surgery. An extensive procedure history has given Dr. Hollis a leading edge when it comes to both simple and complex cosmetic surgeries.
Upon completing an undergraduate degree in math at Acadia University, Dr. Hollis obtained a degree in medicine at Dalhousie University. After practicing as a GP in New Brunswick, he returned to Dalhousie to complete a medical residency in surgery, specializing in the plastic and reconstructive disciplines. Following an invitation from two Victoria plastic surgeons hoping to secure the young doctor as the heir apparent for their thriving practice, Dr. Hollis moved with his family, including wife Jane and three children (which turned to four soon after), to Victoria, where he became an involved community member and avid golfer.
Decades of exposure to the many facets of esthetic medicine has enhanced Dr. Hollis’s ability to understand the level of physical and emotional care needed for each patient. The range of cosmetic concerns brought to him over the years is substantial and his unique background in both surgical and non-surgical treatments has given him the ability to offer comprehensive advice with clear objectivity. His primary work today is in the area of cosmetic esthetics, a sphere in which he excels.
Dr. Hollis’s varied and full career lead to the creation of Derma Spa, Victoria's Medical Esthetics Spa, where he is medical director and consultant, as well as a treating physician.
